A box of marigold garlands ordered for a Thane housing-society Diwali, packed the way most decoration is packed — everything pressed into one carton. They arrived with the wire stems bent into each other and the fabric heads flattened on one side. Nothing was broken. Nothing was usable either, three days before the function.
The listing had shown a photograph and a length. It had not said how the garland travels, which is the only thing that decides whether it looks like the photograph when it reaches you. That is a packing decision, not a manufacturing one — and it is entirely within the seller’s control.
Length, drop and piece count on every listing, in inches and centimetres. “Set of 5” means nothing until you know how long each one is.
Garlands flat between boards, lanterns in moulded inserts, backdrops rolled and never folded. Different shapes need different cartons, so they get different cartons.
Polyester, cotton, velvet, wood or metal — stated plainly, so you know what fades in sun, what crushes in storage and what can go on a balcony.

Every piece is unpacked and checked here before it is listed, and hung once. You learn more in ten minutes of hanging a toran than from any supplier’s specification sheet: whether the loop sits where a door handle is, whether the bells are stitched or glued, whether the dye marks a white wall.
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Mahadev Decoration trades entirely online and ships across India from Thane, Maharashtra, which keeps our overheads off the price of the goods.
