Privacy

A name, an address, a phone number

Written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act 2000). It describes what this shop actually collects, which is very little.

What we collect and why

Name, address, phone
To pack the parcel and let the courier reach you. Shared with our courier partners for that delivery and nothing else.
Email address
To send the order confirmation, the dispatch email with the tracking number, and any reply to a question you asked.
Payment reference
A UPI reference number for reconciliation. We never see or store card, account or wallet details — no card payments are accepted here.
Messages you send
Kept with the order so the next person who reads the thread has the context.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
  • We do not build advertising profiles and we do not run third-party ad trackers.
  • We do not ask for identity documents, and we do not need your date of birth.
  • We do not store payment instruments of any kind.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and consumer-protection law requires, then deleted. Enquiries that never became an order are deleted once the conversation is over.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Ask us to correct anything wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to erase it, where we are not required by law to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent for anything you consented to.
Grievance contact for privacy complaints. Write to care@mahadevdecor.shop with “Grievance” in the subject line and describe the issue. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within thirty days. We have not appointed a separate named officer for this.
